Metro users in Mexico City expressed their dissatisfaction with the overcrowding and delays being experienced on several lines of the system. Crowds and delays have been reported on lines 2, 7, 9, and A, causing discomfort among passengers.
One user expressed her frustration by stating that trains are already arriving full at the Periférico station. Additionally, delays of more than 5 minutes have been observed on some lines. For its part, Metro CDMX reported that lines 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 12, A, and B are experiencing moderate passenger flow, with waiting times of 5 to 7 minutes to board.
Although there is no rainfall reported, Metro CDMX started the day with delays on at least three of its main lines. Line 8, from the terminal station Garibaldi, has been one of the most affected, showing platforms completely filled according to users' posts on social media.
The delays were attributed to the inspection of a train on Line 8, and it is expected that the service will normalize in the coming minutes. Users also complained about being stuck for up to 15 minutes at each station, coinciding with the wait time for a completely packed train.
Regarding Lines 3 and 12, similar situations have been observed, with high passenger flow and delays in services. Due to the overcrowding on Line 12, the cars take longer to pass, generating discomfort among passengers. Users expressed their dissatisfaction with the lack of smooth service and prolonged waiting times, hoping for a prompt solution to these problems.
